What we do
Day Care - Weekend Care - Overnight Homestays
Hi, I'm Jeannie! Owner & founder of Adventure Pups Sydney. I am a loving dog mum first, business owner second. I do dog-minding in my home on Sydney's Northern Beaches, and I'm here to give your dog the best time away from home whilst you're at work or on holidays.
I provide full day adventures during the week, hourly dog-minding on the weekends and overnight homestays all week around.
🚌 My service includes pick-up & drop-off for all doggies residing between Narrabeen & Manly (and surrounds), so you won't have to worry about a thing.
Rest assured that your furry family member will have the best time out - we're all about outdoor adventures, safe socialising and playtime with other doggies; and of course, lots of love & cuddles.

Daytime Dog-Minding
🐶 All doggies are picked up in the morning (between 8am - 9am), they spend an amazing day with us (in our fenced, double gated space or out on on-leash walks) and they are dropped back home at the end of the day (from 4pm).
Our activities include playtime & exploring the area with the other doggies, sniffing games, monitored toy play (e.g ropes), bubbles, sprinklers in summer - you name it. Rest time is important, too, so we aim to have a little break around lunch time. After our designated rest time, it's back to lots of fun & play.
We're not a walking service, but we do occasionally take doggies on on-leash pack walks during the day. Doggies will only be taken on walks if the group of the day is small, and if all owners agree.

🏡 Our Space 🌳
Our private, fully fenced property gives our dogs a safe space to run, play, sniff and snooze.
There is indoor space for designated rest time or for rainy days. I understand that every dog's personality, playstyle and energy levels are different; some dogs may want to run and play all day, while others may prefer cuddles or a snooze in the sun. I give every dog the freedom to engage in the activities they enjoy the most whilst making sure all dogs are happy & safe. Your trust means a lot, and I treat every dog as if they were my own - with lot's of love, care & fun activities.
Weekend Dog Minding & Overnight Homestays
Need your dog looked after during the day on the weekend, or even over night while you're away on holidays? From personal experience, I understand how difficult it can be to leave your fur-baby at a boarding kennel. Concrete cells, all by yourself and no one to cuddle up to or play with in the evenings? No thank you!
When staying over night, your dog will be part of the family.

Overnight stays for new dogs are possible, but we will require the dog to come in for a trial day in advance. This is to get to know them, see how they behave around other dogs and to create some familiarity and a positive environment with their holiday home.
We don't take more than two dogs overnight at any given time to make sure everyone is well looked after and happy.
This service is subject to availability, but we're happy to help out where we can. Get in touch to enquire & learn more.

About Me
My Story
I absolutely love where we live and I love how much people on the Northern Beaches love their pooches.
In 2023 made a drastic change to my life and quit my corporate job to work at an outdoor doggy daycare on the Central Coast (Wooftales Doggy Daycare). I absolutely LOVED my work and being able to provide the best day out for all the pups felt like a dream. Who wouldn't enjoy endless puppy cuddles on a daily basis?
My work on the Central Coast inspired me to start Adventure Pups and provide a similar experience for dogs living on the Northern Beaches.

About Me

Hi, I'm Jeannie - passionate dog mum of a 3 year old Kelpie x & founder of the Adventure Pups Shop and leader of the Adventure Pups pack!
Some may even call me a crazy dog lady!
Dog breeds and their different purposes fascinate me and I love to see their breed specific traits in action. I'm a true believer in positive reinforcement and mental enrichment, which is why I love to do different activities with the dogs in my care throughout the day (sniffing games, bubbles, sprinklers, you name it!)
When my dog was just a puppy, I attended two different puppy schools with him (owning a working dog in suburbia comes with big responsibility and I wanted to make sure I can give him the life he deserves).
When he got older, we attended obedience classes at the Manly Kennel Club. These days, you'll find us on the Aglity field
In my free time, I completed a certificate in advanced canine behaviour at TAFE. As you can see, I really really love dogs.
I got very lucky with the house I live in - it has a huge backyard that is fully fenced, and I believe it would be a crime not to share it with other doggies while their owners are at work.
I offer full day dog-minding to people on the Northern Beaches because I believe that every dog deserves to have the best time when away from their owners - to me, dog minding isn't just about throwing the dogs in the yard and leaving them to their own devices - I will spend the day with them, making sure they're safe, happy and engaged.

Our Mission
It is our mission to ...
...be your dog's home away from home!
...create a fun, safe space for all our pack members, no matter how old, big (or small) or energetic they are. We want to give your dog/s the freedom to partake in the activities they enjoy most, build confidence, and make friends, as long as their behaviour doesn't pose any risk to the rest of the pack.
... treat any dog the way we'd want our own dogs be treated; with lots of love, positive reinforcement and fun enrichment throughout the day.
Our Principles
We're all about safe socialising and your dog's safety is our utmost priority. 🐾 This is why we require all new dogs to attend a trial day to ensure they are a good fit for our pack. Each dog will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, with a focus on temperament and social behaviour. We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw services at any time if a dog displays behaviour that is disruptive or poses a risk to the safety or wellbeing of the pack. 🐾 The dogs are never left unoccupied. We love our pack members and trust that they are all good boys and girls. This being said, at the end of the day they are still dogs which means and there's always a small risk that a small disagreement could escalate to a bgger fight. We therefore make sure that the dogs are never left in the area without human supervision. Toys and treats are only provided with human supervision, to keep the risk of food & resource guarding at a minimum. 🐾 All our human packmembers are experienced in working with dogs and have been trained on different breeds and their traits, as well as the body language of dogs. We're keeping a keen eye on our furry friends, and we're prepared to step in whenever necessary.
Safety first
Mental & Physical Stimulation
Mental & physical stimulation are the key to a happy pup and we LOVE engaging with dogs of all breeds & ages! Every dog is different but most dogs need both physical and mental stimulation to be their happiest. It is our mission to provide our pups with a little bit of everything - sniffing games, sand pits, water games and designated toy play with ropes and balls to make sure there's something there for everyone. Of course, daily zoomies with their besties go without saying!
We treat every dog like our own
You're trusting us with your furry family member and it means a lot. This is why we treat every dog as if they were our own - with lot's of love, care & fun activities. We know that handing your fur-baby over to a stranger can be hard and it is our goal to make sure that every dog has the absolute best time whilst in our care - no matter how outgoing or timid they might be.
Every dog is unique
We always make sure to look at each of our dogs as individuals, rather than treating them all as "just dogs". All our human pack-members are trained on all kinds of different breeds and their original purpose - a dog's breed and DNA can give a lot of insight into their behaviour and personalities; However - that being said, no two dogs are the same an there are many other factors that can influence the way a dog behaves and interacts with other dogs and us humans. It is our goal to look at every dog as an individual and let them partake in the activities they enjoy the most. Whilst we do encourage our more timid pack members to come out of their shell, it is important to us that every dog in our care feels safe and happy, no matter how big or small, old or young, timid or outgoing they are.
Downtime & Relaxation
A tired dog, is a happy dog - especially young puppies need lots of rest to grow into strong, healthy dogs. We love providing a fun, engaging environment for our dogs but we do understand that resting is just as important. We have plenty of beds and shady spots for our dogs to snooze in throughout the day. Whilst we encourage all our pups to be part of the fun, we are also more than happy to let them rest when needed. Especially our youngest pack members are easily excited and overstimulated. The health of our dogs is important to us and we understand that too much running and jumping can have a negative impact on a puppy's joint development and growth. This is why we have special quiet areas on our property where our youngest pack members are able to enjoy some well earned designated downtime whenever needed. Don't worry, the breaks are only short and they are never left out of sight. No puppy will be left unattended and/or anxious by themselves. Cuddles are a must!
